Deere's home stands on this hill today. It was sold in 1998 to a
man now restoring it from a rundown state. It was configured as
a multi family rental. one of the surprises discovered during remodeling
was an early air conditioning system which was an underground tunnel
running from a gazebo across the yard to the basement of the main
house, this geothermal cooling system is quite innovative even by
today's standards. |
